Kurzfassung:

A scientific text from the area of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) shall be read, understood and summarized in a presentation and a report.

Lernziele:

Ability to read, understand, summarize, present (in oral and written form), and discuss a scientific text (paper etc.).

Lehrinhalte:

Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) is an interdisciplinary research field. It is driven by application problems or tasks form natural science, engineering or economics. In these disciplines, numerical simulation is more and more used as powerful method. It thus complements both laboratory experiments and pure theoretical research. CSE thus involves methods of applied mathematics and computer science.
