This module is about cryptographic schemes such as public-key encryption and digital signatures, how security for such systems is best defined, and what security means from a practical point of view.
Students become acquainted with fundamental cryptographic constructions, understand what it means for such constructions to provide security in a strict sense, and are thus enabled to deploy cryptographic constructions in the right fashion.
Written exam.
Flipped classroom with different resources: textbook, videos, ...
Presentations by lecturer, problem-solving sessions, reading sessions, discussions in class, self- and group-study components: reading, writing, problem solving.
Nur eins der folgenden Module kann pro Studiengang eingebracht werden: MS0101: Kryptographie oder infCryp-01a: Cryptography.
